Of the EU member states in Serbia, 1,189 were returned last year after the readmission program, and 552 were returned in the first half of 2019.
Most of the returnees are Roma, according to information from the Refugee Committee.
Most Serbian citizens were returned from Germany where in the first 6 months of this year as many as 478, from Switzerland - 15, France - 9 and Austria - 9.
In order to integrate Roma into society, the Roma Education Fund, with the support of the German Government, is launching a program for education and employment of young Roma.
In the past three years, more than 2,500 young Roma have received support from almost all municipalities in Serbia.
