The municipality of Cojasca is located in the district of Dambovita, Muntenia, Romania, which consists of the villages of Cojasca, Cintenelle and Fazu.
At the end of the 19th century, the municipality was part of the Ialomisa network in the Dambovita district and consisted of the villages of Cojasca and Chantanelle, with a total population of 2500.
According to the 2011 census, the population of Cojasca commune is 8,276, up from the previous census of 2002, when 7,286 were registered. The majority of the population is Roma (71.96%), with a minority of Romanians (20.4%) and the rest is 7.61%.
The mayor of the Cojasca municipality is Victor Gheorghe from the Social Democratic Patriarchy. The council has 15 councilors.
The municipality of Cojasca is 45 km north of Bucharest.
