Journalist Nigara Ahemtasevic recently filmed in Sarajevo, as she states, the brutal procedure of the police against migrants and refugees, where the police officers verbally attacked her. A statement to the eTrafiku portal said that when she showed them her journalistic accreditation, they did not accept it as a valid document.
She says she saw police on the street gossiping about refugees and migrants on the sidewalk, and then putting her in a police car.
"I recorded all this with a mobile phone that people are being detained for no reason, and then they came to me and verbally assaulted me.
They behaved unprofessionally, I showed them my accreditation, but they did not want to accept it as a valid document.
Ahmeteshevic has been writing since 1994 about human rights abuses, war crimes proceedings, the process of dealing with the past, and has won several awards for his work.
