A commemoration was held at the Museum of Macedonia on the occasion of the death of prof. Dr. Trajko Petrovski

On the occasion of the death of the prominent ethnologist and professor Dr. Trajko Petrovski in the premises of the Museum of Macedonia on August 12, starting at 12 o'clock, a commemoration was held. At that event, as mentioned by the attendees, it was noticed that a very small number of people attended the Commemoration. It was also pointed out by those present that the Roma do not know how to appreciate the values of great people. The same thing has happened to Abdi Faik, Shaip Yusuf, Esma Redzepova and now with Professor Dr. Trajko Petrovski. Master's ethnologist Daniel Petrovski spoke about the character and work of Dr. Trajko Petrovski. He highlighted the invaluable works and contribution of Dr. Trajko Petrovski, especially in the field of Roma ethnology, tradition, culture and language.

As Daniel Petrovski mentioned, those works remain as an invaluable value and wealth that the Roma community should preserve and continue its work. It was pointed out that Trajko Petrovski left behind unpublished works that will be published soon, such as textbooks in Romani for children from third to fifth grade in primary education.

Trajko Petrovski died on August 6 in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia.
