It is absurd that the state allocates 30,000 euros per year for education and that speaks enough on what is the point of the Action Plan. This sends a bad message to the Roma about what and how the state works in the field of Roma education.
The first Action Plan in education and the needs of the Roma in Bosnia was made in 2004. It had 4 goals and 47 measures, many of them are yet to be realized. It was initiated by all of the competent ministries for education in Bosnia where it was formally let into use. Then, a new document came to life – Revised Action Plan from 2010, then its continuation in 2018 with the action plan “Education of Roma in Bosnia 2018 – 2022”. But it is still a fact that the funds of 30.000 Euros on an annual level are not enough for the realization of these action plans.
