Covid passports, vaccinations and Roma

The Roma throughout history were known as a people who did not stay long in one place, a people who wander. But times have changed and the mentality of the Roma has changed, but the desire for freedom has remained. In the last 6-7 decades, members of the Roma community from the Balkans emigrated to European countries due to several factors - economic, political and social. After the liberalization of the visa regime, a large number of Roma emigrated to the EU for three months. EU leaders are considering introducing a digital certificate that would prove immunization against COVID-19, and make travel easier. EU leaders have 3 months at their disposal for the system to work, where it is expected that a large number of citizens will be vaccinated, writes Euroactiv.

"There is a consensus that the e-certificate will be ready quickly and introduced when there is a sufficient number of vaccinated people," said an unnamed source in Brussels. It is clear that such a document will not be given to people who have contracted the disease, but only to those who have received the vaccine, which is also approved by the EU.
