Joint performance of Serbia, France and Belgium in the project “Roma Jazzing through creative Europe”

Young Roma and non Roma musicians from Serbia, France and Belgium in the next two years will perform and practice together within the project “Roma Jazzing through creative Europe” as announced by Nashville. Connecting musicians, promotion of the Roma music as well as open musical exchange are the main goals of this project – as said by the organizers.

The age of the musicians is between 18 and 32 years old. In the next two years, they will gather 8 young musicians from each country and each of them will practice the festival program in their home towns.

The festivals in Belgium and France will be held during April, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their first performance will probably be at the Nashville festival in Nish in august 2021.

Besides the Jazz Festival in Nish – Nashville, they will also participate at the festivals Welcome in Tziganie in France and at the Balkan Traffic festival in Belgium.

The Project ROJAZE (Roma Jazzing Europe) is supported by the EU Program “Creative Europe”.
