In Hradec Kralove, the situation between the Roma and the majority is very tense. As revealed by the Romani internet television ROMEA TV, after two violent incidents, which according to the police, there are three young Roma, there were several verbal and physical attacks against local Roma. One of the victims has serious injuries to his face and yet his case is treated only as a misdemeanor, in addition, he was denied the right to file criminal charges.

The Roma from Hradec Kralove condemns any kind of violence, and describes the circumstances of the incident which includes three young Roma and also the fact that even more than before, they are facing verbal insults and attacks. According to them, the police are minimizing these cases. They also point out that the video released by the police in which they are looking for the attackers has been distorted and is behind the deteriorating situation in Hradec Kralove. An anti-Roma demonstration of football hooligans and neo-Nazis took place on June 5 in Hradec Kralove. At the same time, according to the findings and thanks to the Roma, the police caught young Roma boys who physically attacked the men on the bench. The attack was portrayed in the media as unreasonable and unprovoked. However, according to eyewitnesses, the man racially insulted the Roma.
