The Basic Civil Court 2 Skopje ruled that the Ministry of health discriminated minor Roma who had problems with drug addiction, the Ministry discriminated the Roma minors by not securing treatment or rehabilitation, as informed by the European Roma Rights Center (ERRC). At the same time, the Ministry as they said, have received an order to adopt a concrete program for treatment of minor addicts, they have to adopt this in three months after the verdict in the legal procedure which was initiated by ERRC in the name of Roma children which were denied of the right of equal access to health protection. Also, the charges were submitted by ERRC in April last year, after collecting evidence from the local service center of the organization HOPS, as well as from the National Ombudsman of the Republic of North Macedonia, who later on appeared as a witness for the procedure, explains the ERRC.
