In 2017, postage stamps with national minorities living in Ukraine were promoted in Ukraine. Among them, two were promoted that year with motifs from the Roma community that has lived in Ukraine for centuries.
On one they are presented with a horse-drawn carriage as nomads - travelers, while on the other one of the crafts of those Roma is presented - blacksmithing.
Ukrainian philately has the peculiarity of being one of the youngest in the world because it is less than thirty years old. However, it is especially appreciated by collectors because of the quality of the items. Here, above all, in addition to the nationalities living in Ukraine, there are postage stamps with motifs from Slavic folklore dominating the iconography of postage stamps. Allegory of spring, Zaporozhye Cossacks, Orthodox churches made of wood or red brick, princesses from Kiev Russia, children's stories ... So many topics that allow us to discover the rich history of this ancient nation.
