Collectors of scrap metal tried to sell the Russian Orlan-10 drone for scrap in Tambov region!
Panicked workers, however, immediately called the police, who are now investigating how the drone ended up in the hands of local Roma. A group of deminers also arrived at the waste. The plane will be sent to Moscow after the investigation.
Orlan-10 is actually the latest Russian drone developed and manufactured by St. Petersburg company STC. The drone is designed for reconnaissance and surveillance. It can broadcast targets for destruction from various combat vehicles or be used to adjust artillery fire and electronic warfare.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia stated at the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine that the Orlan-10 was also used on the front in an attack version. For this, it is equipped with high-explosive fragmentation mini-bombs, converted from VOG-25 ammunition for grenade launchers under the barrel, and then launched from a catapult.
