The pre-trial hearing for Ninoslav Jovanovic, better known as the Malcolm Barber, for the abduction of twelve-year-old Monica, took place before the higher court in Nis. The trial is set to begin on July 8 this year.
According to the Supreme Court, the infamous Ninoslav Jovanovic pleaded guilty at a hearing closed to the public on charges of kidnapping and rape.
The girl's parents say that Ninoslav Jovanovic did not apologize to them for the crime against their daughter and expect that the court will impose the most severe punishment on him after the procedure, and in this case it is life imprisonment.
The hearing was adjourned in late May because the court found that, contrary to Jovanovic's law, he had not been given access to the contents of the expert report on his accountability, published by the Belgrade Special Prison Hospital.
It is worth mentioning that Jovanovic kidnapped the girl on December 20 last year in Brzi Brod. After a nine-day search, the girl was found in the village of Pasjaca. and the Malcolm Barber hid until January 5 when he was arrested in the village of Malcha. Jovanovic was twice convicted of rape and served 10 to 12 years in prison.
