There are various Roma communities in South America living from the time of colonial rule to the present day. Their contribution to the formation of the color of nationalities on this continent is huge. But their true right is not yet equally represented in all the countries of the continent.
According to Roma organizations, over four million Roma live there. They are still victims of xenophobia, racism, racial discrimination and intolerance.
By the way, the demands for their equality have so far been achieved only in Colombia.
As mentioned above in South America, Roma culture is represented by 4 million Roma who have kept closed and traditional in their confrontation with outsiders in all groups, Spanish and Portuguese Gitanos, Calderas, Xoraxane Roma, Lovari, Macquaya, Bashalde, etc. In many Roma communities, almost everything that comes from outside is rejected, a real fear of losing the Roma cultural heritage is present in all Roma families and groups, this is a task that existing Roma organizations should develop within the communities, by strengthening of Roma ancestors of values together with some cooperation of local governments and institutions, but avoiding strong intrusions and unwanted changes that we do not want to accept, but by strengthening our culture, language, tradition and respect for Roma ancient rules, many positive achievements can be reached in Roma communities.
