Socially disadvantaged families, craftsmen and small business owners in Gostivar will receive financial and material assistance through a project implemented by Care International with financial support from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Fifteen businesses will be supported with vouchers, more families will receive medicine packages, food packages and hygiene products. The representatives of the project had a meeting with the local self-government that presented the project, and the plans for its realization.
Ljuarza Muhadi, project coordinator, said that in addition to Gostivar, the project will be implemented in Kicevo and Debar. As mentioned, this project should alleviate the difficult economic situation that came as a result of the pandemic. The project will last until the end of the year and is worth 40,000 euros.
Muhamed Toci from the Humanitarian Association "Mesecina" from Gostivar pointed out that the project has four groups, ie packages. They will cover families and 15 local businesses.
Emphasis will be placed on the Roma population and other marginalized groups. The assistance is divided into four groups, ie packages. The first package consists of hygienic items worth 20 euros, and will cover 250 families from Gostivar, Kicevo and Debar. The second package consists of food packages and will cover 45 families. The third package is with medicines and will cover 40 families. The fourth package refers to 15 local businesses and companies that contain a voucher worth 500 euros each. About 50 volunteers will be engaged in this project.
