Services in the field of social protection are a need of the city, it is necessary to follow the assessments of experts and their recommendations in that area, said the mayor of Nis Dragana Sotirovski during a visit to the Center "Mara", where he will start providing new services.
We will soon get a new shelter at another location for the care and accommodation of adults who will work all 12 months of the year, as well as a kitchen for street children thanks to projects that the city has applied to foreign donors and ministries, said the mayor.
Such projects differ from other cities. The capacity of the shelter without the reception station will be 15 beds. There are 11 or 12 people in the records of the Social Work Service who need this type of accommodation during the winter. Otherwise, this winter the Shelter was in the Center "Mara" in the part intended for the service "Holiday for accommodation", which started working today.
The facility for street children will be on the ground floor of the Cultural Center "Roma", and according to the announcements, this space will start working at the beginning of summer.
