In the municipal hall in Stip in a solemn way started the caravan organized by the Advocacy Network for systemic and permanent solutions for integration of the Roma in the Republic of Northern Macedonia under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, on the occasion of the International Roma Day - April 8. The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Stip Ivan Jordanov, Zoran Dimov Coordinator of the Network, Erol Ademov from the association of multiethnic society for human rights Stip, Shenaj Osmanov member of the Network and other prominent guests and citizens from Stip.
At the very introduction, the Mayor of Stip Jordanov addressed the audience with a note that as a local self-government they make efforts to raise to a higher level the issues that affect the Roma community in this city. In addition, the documentary film on the history of the Roma "Sky, Wheel, Earth" produced by SP BTR was broadcast. The film itself left a deep impression on the audience. The coordinator of the Network and also the screenwriter of the film Zoran Dimov spoke about the film.
Shenaj Osmanov also read the declaration by the Network.
Then a discussion took place among the attendees regarding the tribune which was titled "Roma, yesterday, today and tomorrow". A small refreshing cocktail was organized at the end of the event.
The Caravan of the Network continues with its activities in the next three days in Kumanovo, Delchevo and the main event on April 8 in Skopje in the Government of RN Macedonia.
