In order to increase the opportunity of Roma for integration in the labor market in the Operational Plan, for the first time this year, efforts will be made to increase the coverage of Roma in active employment measures and services by introducing a quota of 5% for Roma coverage, said the director of the Employment Agency Bekim Murati at the recent thematic discussion in the Government organized by the Network for Systemic and Sustainable Solutions on the occasion of April 8, the World Roma Day.
He pointed to the participation of Roma in last year's Operational Plan as a positive example. -Roma showed interest in participating in the Operational Plan for last year, so 37 citizens of Roma nationality through the program Self-employment - Entrepreneurship received financial support of 5,000 euros and established their own business. Roma were also represented in the measures where they are a target category and which lead to direct employment such as wage subsidies and employment and growth of legal entities through which 123 members of this community were employed, said Murati. In 2021, he added, 9,706 Roma were involved in the services of Job Search Assistance, Motivational Training, Employment and Career Preparation, Vocational Orientation and Career Counseling, Employment Mediation,
