Residents of the Bair Roma settlement in Bitola, where living conditions are poor, will be able to apply to the EU-funded Roma Household Renovation Fund (HRF) in September this year. The fund will provide funds for the Roma to make construction interventions on the homes, from the installation of PVC windows, restoration of the facade and reconstruction of roofs. The main criterion is that the facility is legalized.
In this way, the housing conditions in the settlement will be improved, and within the framework of the project "Bair - Joint Action of Bitola for the inclusion of Roma" an office has already been opened in the local community "Dimitar Vlahov" which helps the Roma in the legalization procedures facilities and to prepare documentation for the use of funds from the new renovation fund.
