The prestigious World Music Charts Europe (WMCE) announced its monthly chart for July 2019, where for the first time since its creation, a musical achievement from Roma is in the first place.
As the World music portal writes, the new album by Boban Markovic and the Mrak orchestra released for the Hungarian publishing house Fonó Budai Zeneház, and the new edition of Boban and the group awaited him for seven years
Until this success, the best positioned album from this region was the Kal group with the same album, where it was placed on the third place in 2006.
Otherwise, WMCE was born in 1991 by European radio producers on behalf of the European Union for Broadcasting (EBU).
Once a month, radical world music DJs from 24 European countries voted for their favorites among current achievements and sent them to Berlin, and the list of the top ten albums are published on the internet portal WMCE.
Boban Markovic was born in Vladici Han in 1964. With his orchestra he won many national and international awards and recognitions. They perform under the name Balkan Brass.
So far, they have published about 15 CDs.
