A brutal murder took place in the small Hungarian town of Oroszlany just before the New Year holidays.

The victim was identified as Elizabeth Kovac, 37, who was killed in the most brutal way.

According to her mother, Eva Farcash, the murder occurred during her birthday party.

"A friend called me who told me that my daughter Elizabeth had been killed. I was not informed by the police about the murder. Otherwise Elizabeth and I were startled because she was handicapped and could neither read nor write. "Eve said.

According to media reports, on December 30, Elizabeth went to a party. She took her killer to her rented apartment without any doubt that she would do so. He killed her by cutting her throat, and had three stab wounds in her stomach. When the apartment owner returned from work he found a gruesome image and called the police. Apparently there were signs of struggle because the detectives under her nails found skin.

After a police investigation, dozens of suspicious samples were taken and a DNA analysis found the homeless offender.

Elisabeth also has a 14-year-old daughter.
