"Czechs Are Helping" initiative to hold benefit Romani music concert to raise money for children in Greek refugee camps

The Amaria association and the "Czechs Are Helping" (Češi pomáhají) iniciative will hold a benefit evening of Romani music on Saturday, 20 June at 17:00 in Tábor. Proceeds from the event will aid children living refugee camps in Greece.

"We would like to very much thank the bands

who will be coming to perform for free and who are significantly supporting the entire idea by doing so. The Romale and the rest of you are all sincerely invited. Let's have a good time while raising aid for children at risk, for those who are not experiencing a joyful time in the refugee camps," Jaroslav Miko of the "Czechs Are Helping" initiative told news server Romea.cz.

The entire evening, according to Miko, will be filmed and released as a significant feature film in which "it will be possible to present the fact that the Romani heart has enough room for all the children in the world." Tickets will cost CZK 150 [EUR 5.55].

The Roma Democratic Union - RDS: "Face to face" - "Vakti baso fakti" (It's time for facts), without facts and evidence is just a double!

Last week, the portal Roma News and its editor Andriano Djeladin made a show "Face to face" - "Vakti baso fakti" (It's time for facts) where as guests were the representatives of the NGO "Romalitico" and in fact representatives of the Civic Initiative Avaja, and Romani Avazi Elvis Shaqiri, Albert Memeti and Akif Kariman.

In a few hours of the show, editor Jeladin Andriano said he needed to have some kind of open conversation with the guests about their activities, and at the same time talk and be transparent about how they carry out their activities - projects, how much they touch the Roma. and how they allocate the funds they receive from the foundations.

But the DSR notes that the editor of "Roma News" for the whole time did not at any time ask them to be transparent to the public about the means at their disposal, but on the contrary, it turned out that they are promoting "Romalitico", " Avaja." and “Romani Avazi”

The DSR is of the opinion that in fact the editor seems to want to please his guests, and not to do what, according to the reactions of the public, to be open and transparent.

Several times before, Djeladin Andriano's intention in his shows emphasized the moment of misuse of financial resources by the Roma NGOs.

Among them were "Romalitico", " Avaja." and “Romani Avazi”. But miraculously, in the live show with the representatives of "Romalitico", " Avaja." and “Romani Avazi”, there were literally no statements from that format.

The DSR and the public are reacting in the same way, is Roma News and its editor Andriano Djeladin perhaps in some way "bought" by "Romalitico", " Avaja." and “Romani Avazi” with some promise, or is it something else? After this show, he publicly denied that he was bribed and that he was independent, but the dilemma remains, whether his guests on the show "Face to face" - "Vakti baso fakti" gave him facts to confirm the exact opposite, or the public's statement that maybe there's "something rotten in Denmark" that will blow up in the air.

The public, as well as the DSR, is of the opinion that it is never too late for Andriano Djeladin to ask them for facts from "Romalitico", " Avaja." and “Romani Avazi”, so that he can continue his work and "clean cheek".

Isn't that the most honest and correct friend Andriano?

Sincerely, Roma Democratic Union - RDS

Which EU countries open borders and when - known when to travel and what is the decision for testing and quarantine

By abandoning the measures introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic, EU countries are starting to open their borders, so many are wondering where to go on vacation.

Greek borders will reopen on June 15, but only for citizens of Germany, Cyprus, Israel, the Balkans and the Baltic states. Tourists will be allowed to enter Greece without a negative Cavid-19 test or a mandatory quarantine when international flights resume on July 1, Euronews reported.

Bulgaria has announced the opening of borders with Serbia and Greece on June 1st.

Croatia reopened its borders with Slovenia in mid-May, and on May 29, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia should do the same.

Hungary has opened its borders with Romania, and the border with Slovakia and the Czech Republic will open on Wednesday, but with restrictions.

Spain will reopen its borders to tourists on July 1.

French borders remain closed until at least June 15, except for EU citizens residing in France, seasonal workers and EU citizens working in France.

In Germany, checks on the borders with Austria, Switzerland, France and Denmark for passengers arriving by plane from Italy and Spain remain in force until June 15.

Britain's borders are currently open. From June 8, visitors from abroad will be quarantined for up to 14 days.

Austria plans to fully open its borders with Germany and Austria, and from May 27 with Slovakia and Hungary, but with restrictions.

Dutch borders are open to those traveling to the Schengen area, but it is advisable to avoid all trips that are not necessary. Belgium's borders remain closed.

Bulgaria: "Old technique for a new beginning" or for the impermanence of humanity

The village of Kolarovo is located fifteen kilometers from Stara Zagora in the direction of Radnevo. The local school is named after one of the sweetest chroniclers of the Bulgarian Revival - priest Mincho Kanchev.

Children from the nearby villages of Zagore and Bozduganovo study here. But the classrooms have been empty since March -   as in all of Bulgaria, everyone learns from home. Or at least it should be. Because in Kolarovo, as in hundreds of other places, not all children have computers, laptops, tablets.

The magic helper in this case is the Amalipe Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance . They are based in Veliko Tarnovo, on the other side of Stara Planina. The school in Kolarovo has been determined by lot to receive five tablets from the first round supported in the campaign "Old technology for a new beginning".

Yes, they are not enough to cover the needs of all children. But this gesture inspires and motivates teachers to make their own efforts to provide Internet coverage for those most in need and to organize their own campaign to buy and donate devices for children in greatest need.

And give up the five tablets - in favor of other children. But they send their gratitude for the motivation to mobilize themselves.
