The first color photograph on the territory of former Yugoslavia is a Roma child – violinist

The first well-known color photography of the former Yugoslavia was represented by a Roma street child holding a violin in his hands. The name of the Roma child, as well as the location, remain unknown. The photo is titled "Roma with Violin" and the year it was made was 1907 or 1908.

It was filmed with an autochrome technique, and was released to the Limerie brothers from their factory in Lyon last year.

Its author is Djordje Stanojevic a Serbian physicist, astronomer, rector of the University of Belgrade, who was born in Negotin in 1856 and died in Paris in 1921. Stanojevic is also known in Serbia who illuminated Serbia.

He devoted his life and work to the development of science. He was a pioneer of the electrification and industrialization of Serbia, author of several scientific works in the field of astrophysics, and author of the aforementioned photography. Thanks to his engagement, Belgrade in 1893 received a thermal power plant, and the Serbian capital was among the first to have electric trams and lighting.

RBICM responds: Sirhan Usain is a typical example of discrimination!

In light of the unfortunate incident that occurred on 09.02.2020 around 10:45 on the JSP bus, in which a Roma student, Sirhan Usain, was exposed to misconduct and inappropriate behavior by JSP staff (controllers), RBICM responds to the entire event .

 

The event is described on the PB profile of Sirhan Usain, who described the entire situation in detail.

On the basis of that statement Usain himself gave a statement to the police officers.

Because it is an event that both the public and RBICM are interested in, it is of the opinion that this society deserves an equal chance for all without any survivors of oppressors, oppression, threats and discrimination.

 

Any misconduct, insult or threat deserves a proper response from all instances and institutions in the country, demanding correction of violence, hate speech and discrimination on any grounds.

 

That is why RBICM demands proper treatment and protection of the law student Sirhan Usain and at the same time we call on the Public Transport Company - JSP, on behalf of the thugs - to publicly denounce and apologize for the misconduct of their employees and take action and take responsibility. for correction so that it will not be repeated.

 

At the same time, it publicly calls on the officials of the Ministry of Interior, the Commission for Protection against Discrimination, the Ombudsman and the Public Transport Enterprise to take the necessary measures and to clear the case completely.

Fierce reaction on FB hate speech!

These days literally FB has "exploded". The reason was simple, and it made a post-joke that insulted and belittled an entire community - the Roma.

 

A certain Zlatko Bojadziev on his FB profile edited a joke post that literally offended the entire Roma community.

 

Immediately as a reaction, comments and negative criticism of the publisher began.

 

In addition to offensive comments, there were vulgar connotations as well as threats of complaining and reporting on the joke's inappropriate content.

 

Fortunately the whole euphoria lasted for several hours, which was immediately followed by the author of the indecent post, apparently understanding the criticism and immediately deleting the indecent post-joke.

 

Let this be a lesson that any form of insult and hate speech can be severely sanctioned, and may have unintended consequences.
