Rom Sinti Caminanti meeting whit Giuseppe Conte

This morning, immediately after swearing in the Quirinale, in front of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, the new Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte was reached by a request to meet Roma Sinti Caminanti, with an act produced by Marcello Zuinisi, legal representative of the Roma Nation Association (ANR ).
The document was sent to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the National Anti-Discrimination Office, its director Trintafillos Loukarelis, the new Minister of Equal Opportunities Elena Bonetti and the institutions directly involved in the matter, including, the Court of Rome, the Authority National Anti-Corruption, the Court of Auditors, the Constitutional Court, the Ministry of the Interior and the new Minister Luciana Lamorgese, the European Commission.

Civil society organizations such as International Romanì Union (IRU), the Roma Sinti Caminanti National Council (RSC), the RSC Platform, the GR8 group in London, the Indivisible and Solidary Forum and the Stand Up To Racsm of the United Kingdom are interested.

On 13 September 2019, Zoran Dimov President of the IRU, Zeliko Shain Ombudsman at the Council of Europe and RSC delegates from all over Italy, the United Kingdom and Spain will arrive in Rome. The meeting with Palazzo Chigi was planned in order to implement European Structural Framework Agreements, National Inclusion Strategy, correct use of European Structural Funds, allocated to Italy by the European Commission, 2014-2020 period, 7 billion euro for the inclusion of homeless, unaccompanied foreign minors, victims of trafficking and slavery, prisoners and ex-prisoners, Romani people and compliance with national and European laws of the Monitoring Committees (1303/2013) and involvement procedures. https://ec.europa.eu/info/policies/justice-and-fundamental-rights/combatting-discrimination/roma-and-eu/roma-integration-eu-country/roma-integration-italy_en

RSC have long been committed in Italy and Europe to properly implement these agreements: on 1 August 2019, former Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, was denounced for violating European pacts, with the aggravating circumstance of racial hatred and for having ordered the ethnic census of the houses where RSC live.

As of September 10, the launch of the Analytics and documentary film "Mapping the Differences in Housing for Roma" begins,

The project is funded by the European Union and is a sub-grant of the project "Support to the Legalization of Roma Housing".

The organizer of this event is the partner organization Roma Business Information Center - ZRDICM from Skopje.
 
The events will take place in the following order.
 On September 10 at 10 am in the Municipal Building of the Municipality of Kocani (Hall for Councilors.)
The same day, starting at 1 pm, the promotion is scheduled in the Municipality of Stip Kocani (Counseling Hall).
Then follow on 11.09. at 10 am Municipality of Veles - Big Hall, and Municipality of Kumanovo at 13 am in the House of Craftsmen.
On September 12 in the Municipality of Prilep - Green Hall from 10 am and in Kicevo Roma NGO Network starting at 1 pm
The last event will be in Cair Municipality on September 13th from 10am in the meeting room.

Romani Party: Police beat Roma in Belgrade police car, urgent case to be cleared

The Romani party sent a statement demanding a quicker clearance of a case where police in Belgrade beat two Roma nationals in handcuffs, though they were previously handcuffed, and were already in the police car.

The party said it happened on September 5 this year around 6pm.

"Such behavior is a basic suspicion that a crime has been committed, and indicates that excessive physical force has been applied. As future MPs in the Serbian parliament we must fight for all kinds of security for all citizens," said Romani Party spokeswoman Sanja Shajn

Roma integration in Austria

Austria’s national strategy is a set of political and legal measures within the framework of a broader social inclusion policy aimed at disadvantaged groups in general. Innovative approaches, such as Roma school assistants and the counselling and training of adults to enhance their employability are supported at a local level.

Focus on Roma Inclusion by 2020 existing activities in the policy areas of education, employment, health, housing and anti-discrimination will be continued in the coming years (see Annex). The following priorities are planned:
Education, labor market, fight against antiziganism, empowerment of Roma women and girls (Romnja), empowerment of organized Roma civil society, empowerment of Roma youth and participation
