Remnants of Concentration Camp Used to Imprison Roma Found in Czech Republic

All of the 130-plus Roma people interned at the WWII–era site in Liberec were later murdered by the Nazis at death camps
Archaeologists in the Czech Republic have discovered the remains of a concentration camp where the Nazis detained Roma people during World War II, reports Czech media outlet Romea.cz.
Though researchers had previously been aware of the camp’s location, construction of a new emergency response services headquarters at the location marked the first time experts had excavated the site. Per Radio Prague International, the dig unearthed brick floors and the foundations of a building, as well as artifacts including tin cups and fragments of dishes.
During World War II, the Nazis created four concentration camps in the territory of Liberec, which was then a regional center of German power. Between 1941 and 1943, the newly uncovered camp housed more than 130 Roma people who were forced to help build housing at nearby Králův Háj.

A new chapter in German culture in remembrance of World War II

A documentary and memorial center on the history of World War II and National Socialism will be set up in Berlin with a special focus on the group of victims that has not been in the spotlight so far.
That is why it remained almost unnoticed by the German public that on October 9 the Bundestag made a historic decision to erect a memorial to all the victims of the German destructive war and occupation regimes in World War II. It should be a documentary, educational and memorial center in order to convey the historical context, explain the suffering that took place in Europe and Germany, and give space to the memory of the victims' descendants. The German government has until the end of 2020 to present a plan for the implementation of this decision. When we talk about World War II, the German parliament, politicians and historians use the term - German Wernichtungskrig - German destructive war, war to extinction. It is a war aimed at the complete destruction of states, peoples or ethnic groups - mass killings or destruction of livelihoods.

Does Roma Evolution Begins?

The name of Krisztián Kocsis became known when in 2019 he was nominated for the Golden Hinge Award by the Rome Press Center. They fight against discrimination against one of Hungary's most important civic professors. Every year, Roma and other people nominate dozens of Roma who have been recognized for their profession, among other things.
Krisztián Kocsis is a neurobiologist of Roma origin (brain researcher). Now the 32-year-old man is moving to university, where it doesn’t matter if he’s a gypsy or not, only his knowledge is important. However, he never forgot that he came from the "Pécs mess" - as he himself put it. Because of his strong sense of mission, he voluntarily takes on the role of a gypsy neurobiologist: in telling his career, he wants to help others and draw public attention to how much it all depends on how a socialized child becomes socialized.

The issue of 1,770 stateless persons in BiH has been resolved so far

In Bosnia and Herzegovina there are relatively few stateless people in relation to the situation in the world. The UNHCR estimates that there are currently around 100 people at risk of statelessness in BiH, including those who are not registered. Roma are the largest percentage without citizenship or unregistered persons and only due to lack of documentation.
Since 2014, when the UNHCR launched the #IBelong campaign, BiH has made significant strides in resolving statelessness issues, ie reducing the number of stateless persons.
Otherwise, apartheid has a significant negative impact on the lives of individuals. Citizenship is a document for full participation in society and is a prerequisite for the realization of a number of human rights such as health, education and others.
Today, apartheid is a significant problem that affects about 10 million stateless people around the world who are therefore in the legal maze.
