Two Roma girls disappeared without a trace for a week in Gelsenkirchen Two Roma girls from Gelsenkirchen and Gladbeck have been missing for a week. Zejnepa is 12 years old and her cousin Lindita 17. According to one of the fathers, the two were last seen on Tuesday, November 10th. The father says that the girls left the house together at around 2pm to go shopping. Nobody has heard from or seen them since. The families have alerted the police, but there is still no trace of the girls

Visoko, B&H: Representatives of the Roma community did not enter the Assembly of Visoko: Who will advocate for solving their problems?

On November 15 this year, the citizens of Visoko had the opportunity to vote in the local elections for mayor and councilors in the municipality.
There were various candidates on the list of candidates from the current parties in the area of ​​the city of Visoko. There were also three Roma candidates on the two-party list, and according to unofficial results, none of them entered the city hall as councilors.
At one of the debates, the candidate for mayor of Visoko, Dario Pekic, emphasized that it is very important to have candidates from different nationalities on his list, where two representatives of the Roma community were also present. He stressed that through his SDA party, those candidates, if they enter, will fight for the interests of their community.
He noted that the list includes Melina Pirija, who will present the local Action Plan for solving the problems of the Roma community, such as housing issues, health, education and employment.
"Among other proposed action plans was the initiative to allocate funds for the legalization of land and buildings in the Roma community." Unfortunately, none of the Roma community was included in the list of councilors.

Miss Czech Republic, who is Romani, wins title of "Miss Elegance" and is now in the top 15 of the Miss Globe 2020 beauty competition

Romani community member Nikola Kokyová has achieved success in the Miss Globe 2020 beauty competition. The 21-year-old native of Kolín made it into the top 15 and was given the title of "Miss Elegance".   
After winning the title of Miss Czech Republic 2019, this is yet another beauty contest success for Kokyová. "When I applied to the national beauty competition for Miss Czech Republic one year ago, without any experience in modeling, it never occurred to me I would win the contest and then, a year later, have success abroad as well. I am immeasurably grateful to have received the opportunity to travel to Albania to the Miss Globe beauty competition and represent our beautiful country there," she posted to social media after her evening of success. 
"I would like to thank you all for your support and your beautiful congratulations, which I very much appreciate. This experience has given me much more than just this beautiful title. Once again I have gone beyond my own expectations and moved forward," she posted to her followers.
This year's Miss Globe contest was held in Albania and was attended by 42 contestants from all over the world. Kokyová made it into the top 15, brought home the "Miss Elegance" title, and got more experience that will decidedly aid her with her future career.
