New family torments victim of Malchani barber No electricity due to foreign debt

Alexandra K. Her younger daughter, Monica, who was kidnapped in December by Ninoslav Jovanovic, also known as the "Malcharian Barber", was forced to leave her home in Suvi Dol, Nis, and temporarily moved to Alexandra's home town of Svljig. This is due to the electricity debt of their cousin with whom they shared electricity, and a few days ago their electricity was cut off.

 

- After everything that has happened to us, I can't let Monica live in the dark. We are all connected to the same meter, and because of my cousin's debt we are forced to live in the dark.

 

I don't know what to do, because I barely convinced Monica to be out of the house at least temporarily. Monica wants to go home, but we have no money to pay her debt. A separate connection costs over 1000 euros and we do not have that money. I struggle with all my strength to be with my child because I know how difficult it is, but at the moment I don't know what to do - Alexandra is honest.

 

The question is when her relatives will adjust their debt to the EPS, as they may be without electricity, but Monica must not.

 

As of today, kindergartens and schools stop working

From today until the next 14 days kindergartens, schools and faculties will not work, and public gatherings and manifestations of outdoor and indoor spaces that are expected to host more than 1,000 people are forbidden, Health Minister Venko Filipce told today's press conference.

 

As he said, one of the parents of children up to 10 years will be released from work in order to care for their children, while absenteeism will be paid.

 

In this regard, Filipche appealed to avoid going to playgrounds or similar places where children would be in contact with a larger number of other children.

Museum of Romani Culture to present its project for a Center of the Roma and Sinti in the Czech capital

The Museum of Romani Culture is planning a festive introduction of its Center of the Roma and Sinti in Prague on Thursday, 26 March at 11:30.

 

The Center will be housed in a protected heritage building. The single-family home in the Dejvice neighborhood of Prague was designed for the textile entrepreneur of Jewish origin Leo František Perutz by the architects Arnošt Mühlstein and Victor Fürth.

 

The villa at Velvarská 1 was built in 1937 in a romanticized conception with elements of functionalism. In recent years it has not been permanently occupied, but has frequently served as a film set, for example, for the Czech film Ženy v pokušení (Women in Temptation).

 

Since 2019 the villa has been administered by the Brno-based Museum of Romani Culture, which is currently preparing its comprehensive reconstruction in order to use it as a specialized workplace, the Center of the Roma and Sinti, in Prague. The project is being financed by Norway Grants 2014-2021 from its Human Rights program.
