New wave of anti-gypsyism in the Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic in recent months there has been a sharp increase in violence against Roma, with the most frequent physical attack on non-Roma marriages being the case of several Roma children.
Czech political expert Jan Harvat noted that the number of people ready for minority clashes was constant, but that the focus on Roma from 2015 had shifted to refugees.
Now that the refugee crisis has subsided, anti-Roman sentiment is back on the scene.
Heads of many parties in the Czech Republic such as the Czech Social Democrats
(FSSD) have taken a neutral stance on this phenomenon, despite the fact that the Government itself is concerned about the new law as well.
In fact, if the person who is not able to earn money for three months, he also loses the right to housing and can become homeless.
