In Ukraine - How to act in case of a crisis
As a result of hostilities, shops, fuel stations and ATMs may not work.
This guide will help you and your family prepare and survive in time.
In such circumstances, at least the first 72 hours (3 days) until the responsible services can resume their activities and continue to provide services.
The best way to protect yourself and your loved ones is to prepare in advance for any extreme situation.
- Discuss and agree with your loved ones on a plan of action;
- Prepare stocks of food, water and essentials for at least 3-7 days
Food:
Cooking in a crisis can be dependent on the availability of electricity, gas and water, so it is best to store food that:
- can be stored at room temperature;
- with a long shelf life (at least 6 months);
- can be prepared without a lot of water and heat treatment;
- as nutritious as possible, high in calories.
What foods should be stocked up:
canned and canned foods, root crops, pasta, cereals, crackers, instant soups, flour, vegetable oil, hard cheese, coffee, tea, sugar, honey, jam, nuts, etc.
Water.
Drinking water is an essential element for survival.
Calculate how many liters of drinking water you and your loved ones need to keep at home, so that it would be enough for at least 3 days (recommended for a week)
Find out where natural sources of drinking water are available nearby (wells, springs) and how to use water purification tablets.
- medicines.
During a pharmacy crisis, the work of medical facilities can be difficult. Therefore, make sure that in your home first aid kit there is at least one drug from the following groups of medicines and the following products recommended by the emergency medical service:
- analgesics and drugs that lower the temperature;
- anti-allergic drugs;
- drugs with a sedative effect;
- medicines for disorders of the digestive system;
- disinfectants;
- dressing materials and scissors;
(a set of plasters, gauze bandages, napkins, etc.)
- medicines you need every day;
- also a heat-reflecting survival blanket and a thermometer.
- Write down in a notebook or remember the mobile phone numbers of your relatives, neighbors, friends and other people important to you and offer them the same thing.
- Regularly update practical knowledge that could help you and your loved ones cope with extreme circumstances (first aid, drinking water sources, emergency telephones, etc.)
- Prepare an emergency bag containing the items you will need in case of an evacuation:
- documents and information (passport or ID-card, driver's license and their
copies) ;
-list of important phone numbers;
-portable radio with spare batteries;
- products with a long shelf life and high calorie content that can be used without heat treatment;
- multifunctional folding knife, unbreakable utensils;
- drinking water in plastic bottles (for 3 days minimum)
-tiles for dry fuel;
-water filter; disinfectant tablets;
- spare charger, car charger;
- matches, lighters, candles, flashlights;
-warm clothes;
- towel, disposable napkins;
- disinfectant; personal hygiene product;
- first aid kits;
spare glasses or contact lenses.
Curfew.
It is forbidden for people to stay on the streets and in other public places during the specified hours without specially issued passes and certificates.

The movement of vehicles on the territory of the Odessa region is prohibited, except for emergency services, vehicles for specialized purposes that perform an urgent service task, when special light signaling devices are turned on and cars whose movement is allowed with special passes.
