Who are the candidates who will surely run for president of Serbia?
The President of the Assembly of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, announced the elections for President of that country, which will be held simultaneously with the parliamentary and the elections for mayor of Belgrade, on April 3 this year. This means that from this moment the collection of signatures for the candidacy begins. What is known so far are the names of eight reliable candidates. Incumbent Aleksandar Vucic and former President Boris Tadic are expected to announce their candidacies in the coming days.
The opposition gathered around the Freedom and Justice Party, the Democratic Party and the People's Party made the final decision to nominate General Zdravko Ponos as their presidential candidate.
The President of Dveri, Bosko Obradovic will be the candidate of the Patriotic Bloc,
The leader of the Democratic Party of Serbia, Milos Jovanovic, will be from the NADA (DSS-POKS) coalition. The presidential candidacy in mid-December was announced by the journalist and member of the Parliament of Free Serbia Srdjan Skoro, a candidate from the Serbian right, Misa Vacic. However, this is not a final list and more candidacies are expected.
