Diaspora Europe: Racism against Rom * nja and Sinte * zze on the net

They all have a history in Europe and are part and culture of this continent. But they also unite exclusion, experiences of difference, transfiguration and defamation: Diaspora Europe unites different contemporary perspectives of Rom*nja, Sinte*zza and Jews on the here and now.
Originally planned for May 8 and 9, Diaspora Europe - together with the project "The Investigation 2020" based on Peter Weiss about the Auschwitz trial in Frankfurt/Main - was to invite to an artistic discussion on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation from German National Socialism and Europe Day. We are horrified to see how quickly, in a crisis-ridden year like 2020, old prejudices, even those already believed to be dead, mingle like a ghost in social discourses.
Diaspora Europe focuses on letting the communities themselves take a stand, presenting their own perspectives and narratives on Europe and its history. To this end, journalist Shelly Kupferberg and the Executive Director of the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) Tímea Junghaus have invited artists from a wide range of genres to show their work. Memories, identities, locations, surveys and visions of living together in Europe are presented, discussed and finally celebrated in a kaleidoscopic way in performances, conversations and music. The aim here is to articulate intersections of shared experiences and - on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day on 10 December and the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of National Socialism on 27 January - to enter into a dialogue with the audience, with a common voice in diversity.

Roma demand an apology from Vuk Jeremic

Former Foreign Minister and Speaker of the UN General Assembly Vuk Jeremic recorded in his career an unprecedented and scandalous gaffe that upset the Roma community. A video clip that tells a not at all funny joke that abounds in
Roma consider it unacceptable to be a public figure like Jeremic with international and national experience who "allegedly stands for a decent Serbia, to allow himself to be filmed in a society where any topic is spoken in a simple and vulgar way".
- It is especially unacceptable that citizens of a state whose statesman he was and who claims to be a statesman are quietly allowed to be insulted. "This is not a picture of Serbia and that is why all politicians are appealed to refrain from such behavior," reads the message from the Roma in Serbia.

BiH: Senad Biberović - Biber: It is not a shame to take a broom in your hands, it is a shame to sit at home

Senad Biberović - Biber is one of the most famous people who watch him every day on the streets of Tuzla. This 50-year-old Roma has been working in the public utility company for 15 years. This humble man says that his BiH is still in this world. He stayed there even when he had the opportunity to leave the country somewhere off the ground. He says that in beautiful BiH he is the most beautiful. On the other hand, he felt very well about the cruelty and the crisis in BiH. Bieber was unemployed for almost 20 years and spent the same amount of time actively looking for work. - I applied to almost all competitions and they didn't accept me. I still don't know why. So it was until he invited me for an interview at JKP Tuzla, where I started working on maintaining the park, and then, thanks to the director, Admir Beḱirević, who gave me a chance to show that I am a hardworking person, I got a steady job - says Bieber . He says that next to him, there are many Roma in the same company to whom Beḱirević gave them the opportunity, for which he is very grateful. In 2012, Biber received a huge thank you for his work. He says that he simply wants his job, that he respects them all and that is why they do not see him as a communal worker, but as a member of the family. He says that the unfulfilled wish of life is the faculty he is still thinking about. He thinks that this will be a much better example for young people. Instead, Bieber has a great hobby - singing and writing. He says he'll publish them someday. In addition to writing and singing, he recreationally goes to the gym at least 3 times a week to, as he says, recharge his batteries for each new day that awaits him at work. - In the end, I want to tell them all that you should never be afraid of work. It's not a shame to take a broom in your hands, it's a shame to sit at home and watch TV while the kids are hungry. Nobody will bring me to the door to eat, to warm up and to get dressed, if I don't stand alone and with God's help I start working - said Senad Biberović - Biber.

The Assembly adopted the Law on Census. With the census who will be included and who will not be included?

With 62 votes "for", without "against" and "abstained", the Assembly adopted the Law on Census of Population and Households, which is to be held in April this year. Оnly the law was voted on, and the debate ended on January 15, when there was no quorum for voting. VMRO-DPMNE MPs were not in the voting hall. The largest opposition party previously announced that they will collect signatures from citizens to repeal this law.
The census, prescribed in the Draft Law on Census, will cover:
- citizens of the Republic of Northern Macedonia who have a domicile or residence in the Republic of Northern Macedonia, regardless of whether they are in the Republic of Northern Macedonia or abroad at the moment of the census;
- foreign citizens residing in the Republic of Northern Macedonia with a residence permit and
- stateless persons, who at the moment of conducting the census are found in the Republic of Northern Macedonia.

The census will also cover the households of these persons and apartments and other settlements.
The census will not cover:

- the diplomatic staff of the foreign diplomatic and consular missions in the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the members of their families;
- foreign military personnel and members of their families, located in the Republic of Northern Macedonia, as well as members and representatives of international organizations and institutions residing in the Republic of Northern Macedonia at the time of the census, and
- foreign nationals who at the time of the census are in the Republic of Northern Macedonia for business trip, private visit, treatment, tourist and similar trips.

For the citizens of the Republic of Northern Macedonia who are temporarily working or residing abroad, the data is given by an adult to whom they are best known, giving their personal identification number and personal identification number to the person for whom he / she provides data in the census.
For the citizens of the Republic of Northern Macedonia who are temporarily working or staying abroad, self-enumeration will be enabled in the period from March 1 to April 21, 2021 on a special application which is available on the website of the State Statistical Office.
The person who self-registers is obliged to register on the application beforehand and submit the completed forms electronically through the application to the State Statistical Office, whereby technical and organizational measures are applied in accordance with the regulations in the field of personal data protection.
