Romani girl runner in Slovakia scores another regional victory

Romani youth athlete Annamária Horváthová, who became known as the "girl in flats", won the 1 500 meter event in the individual category during the recent championship in eastern Slovakia, according to her trainers. She has also been racking up other athletic successes recently.

The doctors on duty did everything they could to save the mother, but the abortion (detachment of the bed) caused the death of the baby, and then, as a result of heavy bleeding, the mother lost her life. "We had two anesthesiologists on duty, we called two more to come from home," Jovanovska told Sloboden Pecat, adding that they sympathized with the family's pain, but ruled out the possibility of a medical error.
According to doctors, the deceased mother was 40 years old. It was her 11th pregnancy, ie she previously had four live births and six terminated pregnancies. The duty team of the Clinic confirmed that there was intrauterine death of the fetus due to the abruption (detachment of the bed).
"After the intervention, she was transferred to a shock room where, despite the intensive resuscitation according to the protocol, her condition continued to deteriorate, after which the whole team of gynecologists and anesthesiologists decided that an audit should be performed. European Agency for Fundamental Rights: Roma live 10 years less than other Europeans

A quarter of Roma children suffer from malnutrition, and the life expectancy of Roma in Europe is ten years shorter than other Europeans, according to a study of 4,500 Roma across Europe.
