Ahmet Jasharevski is a well-known Roma activist from Kumanovo for many years, also known nationally and internationally. He is also the Director of RCC DROM from Kumanovo. He and his team have implemented many programs and projects closely related to the Roma community.

Reconstruction of road and sewerage network in Sredorek, with 3,200,000 funds approved by the Ministry of Transport and Communications - Minister without portfolio Aksel Ahmedovski and participation of the Municipality of Kumanovo with additional 3,000,000 denars.
Preparation of project documents four reports in Roma settlements in the amount of 180,000 denars funded by the Ministry of Local Self-Government.
ReLOaD Program of UNDP in partnership with the Municipality of Kumanovo and CRZ-DROM Children's playground built in the Roma settlement Barake in the amount of 1,045,000 denars.

Assistance for socially disadvantaged Roma from Gostivar, Kicevo and Debar

Socially disadvantaged families, craftsmen and small business owners in Gostivar will receive financial and material assistance through a project implemented by Care International with financial support from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Fifteen businesses will be supported with vouchers, more families will receive medicine packages, food packages and hygiene products. The representatives of the project had a meeting with the local self-government that presented the project, and the plans for its realization.
Ljuarza Muhadi, project coordinator, said that in addition to Gostivar, the project will be implemented in Kicevo and Debar. As mentioned, this project should alleviate the difficult economic situation that came as a result of the pandemic. The project will last until the end of the year and is worth 40,000 euros.
Muhamed Toci from the Humanitarian Association "Mesecina" from Gostivar pointed out that the project has four groups, ie packages. They will cover families and 15 local businesses.
Emphasis will be placed on the Roma population and other marginalized groups. The assistance is divided into four groups, ie packages. The first package consists of hygienic items worth 20 euros, and will cover 250 families from Gostivar, Kicevo and Debar. The second package consists of food packages and will cover 45 families. The third package is with medicines and will cover 40 families. The fourth package refers to 15 local businesses and companies that contain a voucher worth 500 euros each. About 50 volunteers will be engaged in this project.

17th Roma Theater Festival "Garavde Muja"

Organized by the association "Romano Ilo" from Skopje, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, from 16 to 19 October will be organized a Roma theater event, which will present nine premieres and one bonus play from 1989. The festival program includes theater teams from Northern Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, Romania and Germany. In addition to theatrical ensembles from the mentioned countries, the world Roma film actress Alina Serban, known for the film Gipsy Queen, will present her monodrama.
Also, Nedzo Osman will participate in this year's edition of the festival with the play "Rukeli". Famous directors who will take part in the festival are Nada Kokotovic from the TKO Theater, Gjoro Ivanov from Bulgaria, Xhevded Doda from Kosovo and Michael Lucas from Romania and others. The name of the cult director from the theater "Pralipe Rahim Burhan" from Germany appears as a consultant at the festival
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year's edition will be in combined form. Some of the plays will be shown through the online platform romanoilo.mk-garavdemuja and on the website of the portal "24 Vakti". Three theatrical performances will be broadcast live in the city of Skopje and the city of Stip with a limited number of audiences, not more than 50 people in the open space, in accordance with the protocols by the Ministry of Health. On October 17 - Saturday in the old warehouse of Slavia, starting at 18:30, the play "The Monster"" will be performed according to the script by Daniel Petrovski.
The aim of the festival is to motivate young Roma to create works of art. The intention of the festival is to encourage the young Roma population to be actively involved in theatrical art, which should serve as a tool to address the problems faced by the Roma population.
