On the occasion of the death of the prominent ethnologist and professor Dr. Trajko Petrovski in the premises of the Museum of Macedonia on August 12, starting at 12 o'clock, a commemoration was held. At that event, as mentioned by the attendees, it was noticed that a very small number of people attended the Commemoration. It was also pointed out by those present that the Roma do not know how to appreciate the values ​​of great people. The same thing has happened to Abdi Faik, Shaip Yusuf, Esma Redzepova and now with Professor Dr. Trajko Petrovski. Master's ethnologist Daniel Petrovski spoke about the character and work of Dr. Trajko Petrovski. He highlighted the invaluable works and contribution of Dr. Trajko Petrovski, especially in the field of Roma ethnology, tradition, culture and language.

As Daniel Petrovski mentioned, those works remain as an invaluable value and wealth that the Roma community should preserve and continue its work. It was pointed out that Trajko Petrovski left behind unpublished works that will be published soon, such as textbooks in Romani for children from third to fifth grade in primary education.

Trajko Petrovski died on August 6 in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia.

The legendary Yugoslav film "Feather gatherers":by Sasa Petrovic was shot in the vicinity of Sombor and Apatin. The Roma who lived in the neighboring also got a chance to appear in a movie. Thus, quite by accident, Marko Petrovic, then a fourteen-year-old child from Backi Monostor, got a role. Although hundreds of extras were hired from the village, he stood out because he was given the role of a groom whom the fatal Tisa would marry. However, he could easily have lost his role because his mother was against her son getting married so young. She got the permission when they explained to her that this is not a real marriage but only a movie one. "We were playing in the street, it was December. They called me and told me - you are coming with us to make a movie. I did not know what a movie was, because in my neighborhood they just gave us electricity" - Petrovic recalls the details of the shooting. "I could have bought a" fig "with that money at the time. Mine had horses, and with that money we could have bought two more horses and a chariot. That movie."Feather gatherers":saw him for the first time in the cinema in Sombor. The first reaction was: "Am I in a movie too"?

"We all went to the village together to watch the movie. They approached me on a bus and asked for my autograph, and I did not know what they were asking of me because I did not even know how to write," he said. He also has the film on tape and sometimes watches it. After the film "Feather gatherers"he had offers to make a film in Romania, but did not get permission from his parents and thus ended his short film career. He also remembers the meetings with Olivera and Marco Katarina from the shooting of the film and later.
