The Systemic and Enduring Solutions Advocacy Network is responding Where are the Roma political actors to react?

In fact, it is about a call and distribution of funds through projects by the RSM Government through the Ministry of Political Systems. Civil organizations, associations and associations had the right to apply for that distribution of funds. The amount of funds was 15 million denars.

And after the long-awaited results, information arrived in which for the Roma community, out of all the applications sent, funds were allocated to only one Roma organization in the amount of 450,000 denars, or an "incredible" 0.3% of those 15 million denars were allocated for the Roma.

The question arises, is this the answer to "One society for all"?

Are those funds allocated on the basis of applied quality projects or on the basis of "important stakeholders" in this country?

It is even more strange that the Roma representatives in those government institutions "wisely remain silent". What is this due to? Or are they guided by the motto "The bowed head, the sword does not cut"?

This is a flagrant example that Roma and the Roma community is literally forgotten by this country.

After all, it seems that the Roma are only interesting during the elections, and then "Blue grass forgets"

From the analysis and reaction of the System Solutions Network: With a budget of around 65 thousand euros in 2023, the plans in the field of health in the Roma Strategy 2020-2023 will be implemented

One of the priorities in the implementation of part of the Roma Strategy 2020-2023 is the area of Health. The network for systemic and permanent solutions in the published "thin" reports reacts because precisely in the area that is quite problematic, the "infusion" by the state is minimal.

In the previous years, in 2020 and 2021, the budget amounted to barely between 50 and 60 thousand euros or 3.3 and 4 million denars, while in 2022 and now in the proposal the budget for 2023 amounts to the same amount, something around 4 million denars.

Knowing all the anomalies and shortcomings in the implementation of plans from the area for better health for the Roma community. The question arises: "What should these big 60 thousand euros be spent on?"

The Network for Systematic and Permanent Solutions warns that such ridiculous separate budgets are playing with the health of the Roma, who, by the way, both in the region and in North Macedonia, the Roma, unlike other nationalities, have on average the shortest life expectancy compared to the rest of the population, and that is a reflection not only of their economic and social position, but health problems are one of the main contributors to this black statistic. The network appeals to put an end to the pvpj health grenocide against the Roma and to take into account these serious analyzes of the network

Industrial pig farm that once stood on the site of a WWII-era concentration camp for Roma has finally been completely demolished

At Lety u Písku, Czech Republic, the demolition of what once was an industrial pig farm on sites where a concentration camp for Romani people was run during the Second World War has finally ended. The firm contracted for the work is now statically securing two buildings from the former feed hall which will be part of the exhibition there. The demolition began at the end of July and the Museum of Romani Culture wants to open a visitors’ center there in mid-2023 or at the start of 2024. Three bids were submitted to build the center but the museum has yet to select the winner. The museum has been counting on a cost of CZK 73.5 million [EUR 3 million] exclusive of VAT to build the center. Karolina Spielmannová, spokesperson for the museum, informed the Czech News Agency (ČTK) of the amount.

Where it is thin, it breaks

Saturday, a day that I start with a walk in the early morning with my dog, visiting and choosing one of the five buregdžinica in my neighborhood on Trg Kralja Aleksandra in Niš. Choosing an adequate burek in Nis is a challenge. There is no such offer anywhere in the world. I'm thinking about burek and December 10, International Human Rights Day. I was invited to two gatherings where I had to say something "smart". I don't want us to deal with an empty celebration this year, something that is not a celebration.

All those who celebrate Human Rights Day on December 10 do so deeply disturbed by the current state of affairs. The Prime Minister of Serbia announces the entry of our security forces into Kosovo. Russia continues to wage its war of aggression against Ukraine, targeting civilians, leaving people without heat and electricity. The moral and intellectual infrastructure of Serbia is being destroyed, the president of SANU announced his resignation, journalists and human rights defenders are threatened.

We, the Roma, are somehow getting through the latent and almost legal European fascism and a world that has gone crazy a long time ago! Across Europe, Roma, minority and religious groups – including Jewish, Muslim and Christian communities – face increased threats and physical attacks.

A heightened public narrative and a breakdown in social media control have brought anti-Roma, anti-Semites, Holocaust deniers and Islamophobes into the mainstream with disastrous consequences. I am receiving information about attacks on Roma in Greece and Slovakia. A Greek policeman shot a sixteen-year-old boy, Roma, in the head. In Slovakia, "Dedamraz" did not give packets to Roma children. They cut my burek!

I'm afraid! I believe in my neighbor Mikica, brothers Bubet and regular Saturday coffee. I don't know what to talk about today at these two gatherings. I mean... Law - even this day is the most convenient invention that impotent politicians and international institutions have found against justice! Twenty years have passed since the adoption of the Law on Minorities and 13 years since the adoption of the Law on Prevention of Discrimination. How can I explain that "equality" in Law and life is not the same.

How to explain that only 0.001 percent of Roma work in state institutions, and a few hundred highly educated young Roma are waiting at the Bureau. That it is the state that most often does not respect its own Constitution, because "society of equal opportunities" is actually just a phrase. That he does not comply with the Law on Civil Servants, which states that equal national representation of minorities in state bodies and institutions must be taken into account. What can I say about the hundred or so old Roma settlements that have been illegal and have existed since the beginning of the 20th century, as opposed to the "bought" social housing that Roma workers never received?
