Mayor of Czech town apologizes after bureaucrat recommends application to use the town logo be rejected because she believed the applicant to be Romani

News server Romea.cz has obtained a copy of unpublished minutes from a meeting of the Šumperk Town Council from March of 2020 that reveal a bureaucrat rejected a request from an applicant to use the logo of the town just because she believed he was Romani. "He looks like a member of the Romani community. We decidedly do not recommend authorizing this," bureaucrat Helena Miterková said, according to the minutes; after holding a department head post she then went on to hold the office of secretary of the town council last August.

The minutes do not record whether any objection was made to that remark by Mayor Tomáš Spurný (Pro Šumperk - For Šumperk). "So, we are voting to resolve that the town council will not allow this use of the logo of the town of Šumperk," the mayor is literally quoted as saying in the minutes of 5 March 2020 immediately after the statement about the applicant's ethnicity.

It is known that the Roma are the ones who steal, even dogs!

"Today the ROMA stole it from my yard! He has a home, he should travel to Germany on the 25th. "Everything has to be stolen, where will it end up?", Reads the message of Emilija Malite Palavkovci (as it was signed on Facebook), that her dog was stolen. This post has hundreds of shares and fifty comments, primarily with hate speech and calls to find "men" who will find the "gypsy thieves". Because, who can steal in this country except the "Gypsies", right ?! They even steal innocent dogs that have to travel around the world! Comrades, those Roma, (for whom no evidence is attached, but only a presumption and conclusion) who are pointed out that they stole the puppy, and even so, that several members of the Roma ethnic community stole the puppy, they have a name and surname, and not in large letters to write "THE ROMA stole it from me", and thus mark all Roma as THIEVES.

When (without evidence) all Roma are pointed out to be thieves, then it would be good to write, for example, who are those Roma, those with dark or whiter skin, of Islamic / Christian / Buddhist religion, with homo / bi or heterosexual orientation, fans of Vardar / Shkupi / Juventus… Which Roma stole the dog - Blacksmiths, Dzambazis, Konopljari, Baruchites… Which Roma? Or all Roma?

Or for the Roma, the opinion from the replica from the Serbian movie "Ivkova slava" is valid: "There are various Gypsies, that is, there are Gypsies, Gypsies and Gypsies"!

Or the line from the Serbian movie "Who sings there" when a wallet is stolen in the bus and the thief who stole the wallet shouts loudly: "What will be checked honest citizens, it is known here who wants to steal" without being heard they were beaten by the passengers! Apparently some of the "activists and animal lovers" who are looking for "MEN" to find the dog and give a lesson to the "Gypsies who slay the breed" are also fans of the radical fascist and neo-Nazi Serbian group "Leviathan". which has anti-immigrant and anti-Roma views. Activists and fascists / Nazis do not go together. Decide! PS. I am Roma! I'm not perfect, and if I'm wrong, blame me, not my ethnicity! Original text by journalist Dehran Muratov .

The EC says - 12.4 million euros for three projects for Roma

The European Commission announced last week that it would undertake a series of activities worth more than 25m euros in the Western Balkans, to be provided through EU pre-accession funds (IPA).

The purpose of these funds is primarily to help vulnerable populations during a coronavirus pandemic, including Roma, women victims of violence, children, the elderly and people with disabilities.

This will be done in co-operation with the European Council, the UN, UNICEF, UNDP and the Red Cross, the commission said.

European Commission's Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement spokeswoman Anna Pisonero-Hernandez explained to Udar what the projects were.

- As part of KOVID-19's response to support the most vulnerable categories most affected by the pandemic, a total of EUR 4.4 million has been allocated to three projects already being prepared to provide additional KOVID-19 activities, including the Roma Support Question. so the total amount of EU funds for these projects has risen to 12.4 million euros - Pisonero-Hernandez told us.

One of the projects is ROMACTED II, a regional project funded by IPA funds and implemented by the Council of Europe. This project is being implemented in 75 municipalities in the Western Balkans and Turkey.

Roma, Romania, slavery, racism

Romania is marking 160 years since the abolition of slavery. The slaves were Roma for half a millennium, they belonged to nobles, landowners and monasteries, they were legally sold, forced to work hard and punished. The only thing they were entitled to was basic food and clothing. So far, half a millennium of Roma slavery has gone unnoticed in history textbooks in a European country - which is devastating on several levels. from the Gypsies if you do not use a whip ", and the usual nickname for the Roma was" crows "because of its mostly darker skin. The Roma did a lot of work, making jewelry, blacksmiths, working in mines, taking care of households and cultivating fields. Thus developed the names for certain groups - ursari - animal trainers, auras were crafts for gold, cauldrons made of kaldarashi. They possessed and developed rare skills - for example, Roma have long been blacksmiths and hairdressers in Wallachia and Moldova. Because they were slaves, they were forbidden to speak their mother tongue, and for centuries they were exposed to violent processes of Romanization and Hungarianization.
