Serbia: There is a need to create vaccination points within the Roma settlements

The Minister for Public Administration and local authorities, Marija Obradovikj stated that it is of utmost importance for the members of the Roma community, as an important segment of the society in the battle against Covid-19, to be vaccinated in a large number against the Corona Virus.

-For us as a country it is very important that every citizen is vaccinated and to reach to every marginalized group within our society. That is why we organize such an event, in order to discuss the reason of why a larger quantity of the Roma population are not included in the vaccination process, but also other members who need access  – pointed out the minister on an online discussion titled as “Can Serbia be immunized?” Without the Roma community?

During the discussion show which was organized by the Ministry and the civil movement Opre Roma Serbia, Obradovikj said that it is important to help together and to enter most of the Roma settlements and to create vaccination points there, adding that everyone who can help is important and should be included in that process, but also that, this is a responsibility of the Roma community themselves to accept the helping hand from the Ministry for Public Administration and from the Ministry for Health, in order to complete the immunization.

The State Secretary of the Ministry, Stevan Gligorin stated that the show is a clear signal that Serbia is taking actions regarding this issue and how the political importance this has today, published the MDULS. He stated that it is important to clear out the ambiguities and worries of the Roma community in the sea of misinformation and dilemmas.

Ukarina: Prosecutor refuses to investigate key suspect in murder of Roma leader in Kharkiv oblast

Three and a half years after Mykola Kaspytsky, the leader of the Vilshany Roma community was shot and killed in an unprovoked attack, a Ukrainian prosecutor has , for the fourth time, refused to bring any criminal charges against one of the main suspects, Yevhen Kryvoruchko. This is despite eyewitness testimony that the local businessman played a key role in the escalation of violence that day and a forensic analysis of his clothing that found powder from a gunshot. It is also unclear what, if any, progress has been made in the trial of the two Kharkiv regional politicians who are facing charges over the attack that day.

There were calls from human rights activists immediately after the attack on 16 May 2017 for the criminal investigation to be moved outside the Kharkiv oblast in the hope that this would minimize pressure on the enforcement bodies and courts. It would seem that this was insufficient since the latest termination of the investigation into Kryvoruchko’s role came from the Poltava Regional Prosecutor’s Office on 29 January 2021.  Like the previous decisions, this one will almost certainly be challenged by the victims’ lawyer, Stanislav Myronenko, who says that of the three main suspects, .there is the most evidence against Kryvoruchko.

Ethnic identity in ID cards, introduction to bi-ethnic apartheids!

The ID card is not a private document in the first place, but a public document, which is temporarily given to the person so that the institutions and the public and private legal entities determined by law can identify it. The data from the ID card, especially the personal identification number, are also protected by law. Ethnic identity is a private and subjective category. No identity today (and in the past) is immutable, including ethnic. The people can choose and change any identity whenever they wants.

The ethnic boundaries aren’t as tough and impermeable as they were back in the days, now, there are people with double, triple ethnic identities, as a consequence of the mixed marriages, migrations and other processes of modern living.

Having in mind that ou8r political system and law affirm the ethnic separation and the inequality of all citizens on ethnic basis. This ethnic marking of the citizens will only increase the existing inequality within the society. With that, ethnic apartheids will be introduced in Macedonia through a small door. Without the declared and inscribed appropriate ethnicity in the ID cards, the citizen will not be able to be employed under equal conditions, he will not be able to enter certain discos, swimming pools, malls...

And one more thing. For example, if Macedonians, Albanians, Turks, Serbs, Roma, Vlachs and Bosniaks have that "privilege" in our country, why wouldn't a Croat, a Montenegrin, an Egyptian or a Torbesh have that right...?

This once again proves that we are the only country and society in the world that the Preamble of the Constitution serves as a basis for discrimination!

And yet we declare ourselves and we belong to the western civilization and our country is a full member of NATO!

The Humane Artist; Durmish sells the art portrait of Esma, to help fight the disease of his friend artist Andrijana Macieva

The painting “The Magic Voice” a portrait of Esma Redjepova – Teodosieva is made by the famous artist Durmish Kjazim who lives and works in Brussels, is now on sale. The money from the sale of the painting will be donated to the young artist from Kavadarci, Andrijana Macieva from Kavadarci.

Andrijana is fighting with a deadly disease, and that is why she needs fund for the treatment of the disease. Durmish Kjazim felt responsible and that it is necessary to help and that’s why this portrait of Esma which was painted in a dry pastel on paper in the dimension of 100/70 cm in a frame is on sale for 200 Euros.
